This kit converts the bike from standard diameter bars to oversize bars. This model requires Oversize handlebars which are NOT included in the price of the kit. You can order handlebars online on our site also, should you need them. The kit price includes, the stabilizer, linkarm, frame bracket tower, floating tower pin, upper and lower handlebar perches for oversize bars plus the necessary hardware to compliment this model. Due to the frame configuration, this kit is only offered as a weld-on kit, and requires minor welding to attach the frame bracket to the frame, usually a 30 minute operation with a qualified welder. The weld on kit is relatively easy to install by only requiring 2 small welds, one on each side of the frame bracket about 1/2" long. This kit is specific to each bike with consideration for which combination of bars and triple clamps are being used. The frame bracket is a universal, weldable tower, that can be adjusted to accomodate different height applications and frame shapes. Because the weld-on tower doesn't have to mount around the head tube, it is very narrow and compact, lending itself quite nicely to applications where space between the gas tank and head tube is narrow. Weld-on towers are normally a stronger option and removal of a weld on tower is quite simple. Each kit includes a Stabilizer, handlebar bracket, weld-on tower, instruction manual and applicable hardware. (The weld-on kit is not for Aluminum Frames. See Bolt-on Kits).
