There has been some reports of excessive fuel contamination in the oil on fuel injected models, regardless of oil filter brand. It is VITAL to change your oil and inspect your oil filter and grommet on a Daily/Ride basis with any oil filter being used! When fuel contaminates the oil, it can cause deterioration of ANY brand of oil filter grommet.
We enclose a spare grommet for your convenience and additional grommets can be purchased directly from Scotts Performance Products. The stock oil filter grommet also works in the Scotts oil filter.
