This shows the SUB mount, (Stabilizer Under Bars), mounted on the stock triple clamps. This particular photo shows the SUB mount itself in black, to highlight those parts, the actual parts you receive will be titanium in color. The sub mount positions the stabilizer under the bars allowing more room for other items on the bars and the adaption of a standard bar pad. This style mounting raises the bars in order to fit the stabilizer in under the bars. The amount of height change depends on the year and model.
