This shows the SUB mount, (Stabilizer Under Bars), mounted, in this particular case, with Black SCOTTS/BRP triple clamps on the steel framed Yamaha. This mounting system raises the bars approximately 25mm or 1 inch. Its an alternative mounting position for those who want taller bar position and or to have the stabilizer under the bars to utilize a standard bar pad. If a taller bar position is not desired, a lower bend bar can bring the bars back to normal position, all of which are available at Scotts.
